Ngamer01's Portal - Nine Years Strong!

If you were checking this site earlier today, you may have found part of my site blacked out for the internet-wide strike against a pair of dangerous bills in Congress which are SOPA and PIPA. I joined the strike as if those bills became law, just using the internet becomes illegal resulting in anything from your sites being taken down without due process and people being arrested and sued and/or fined heavily for just using something copywritten without permission or coming across unapproved copywrite usages.
Don't get me wrong. I oppose piracy, but these bills go too far. If you like to learn about what SOPA and PIPA are and what you can do to peacefully protest them, click the anti-SOPA & PIPA banner at the top of any page on my site. I now return you to (ir)regular updates with three new items added to my 3DS 3D Gallery! I've been enjoying the new games I've picked up during the last holidays.
I've finished Skyward Sword (not 100%), got five sparkling stars in Super Mario 3D Land, and I'm currently working through Ocarina of Time 3D (not going to 100% it though -- I've already done that many times with the N64 original and the GCN version).
Oh and if you noticed activity on my YouTube account, I've uploaded some results of some online matches I've had in Goldeneye 007 Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Feel free to go enjoy them now before SOPA and PIPA take them away...

Ninth anniversary! Thu, 15 Dec 2011 at 3:30 PM CST

Nine Years on the Web! Well today marks the ninth anniversary of my website! I never thought my website would last this long when this launched on Angelfire way back on December 15th, 2002. And despite some challenges over the years including transitioning from sprite comics to game photography and changing hosts twice, I still keep going. Here's to nine more years!
I've had The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for nearly a month now and I figure I'm past the half-way point in the game. The game has some quirks like trading in some exploration for linear gameplay, but the changes in the core gameplay makes me excited for Zelda's possible future whether it's on Nintendo 3DS or the upcoming Wii U.

I've also been enjoying one Mario Kart 7 since earlier this month. The game may not have evolved the Mario Kart franchise, but the online play is the best yet in the series. Finally there's Pushmo, a great puzzle-platformer on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. If you like solving puzzles and platforming (and later creating and playing custom puzzles), give Pushmo a spin.
Sometime later when I get significant time to work on this site, I'll put up two of my custom Pushmo puzzles for you all to enjoy. Back to video gaming for me!

I got three new 3D pictures up in the 3DS 3D Gallery for you 3DS Internet Browser users, added a link to my YouTube in the Extra Section, and updated the Links Section (no new links added though). Sorry, I don't have any more to update with here, maybe next time I'll have more Brawl snapshots restored to my Brawl Gallery.
So who's excited for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii? Once I claim my mitts on that game and with the holidays coming up, I'm going to be busy as hell gaming. I'll probably make some time though to celebrate my website's 9th anniversary (coming up on December 15th) and list any games I get as holiday gifts.

Whew! This update is a doozy! Mon, 17 Oct 2011 at 6:00 PM CDT

Here is what is I updated:
1) 40 Brawl snapshots put back up in the Brawl Gallery which makes a total of 100 snapshots currently up! 150 snapshots are remaining until my gallery is fully back online.
2) 5 new stereoscopic pictures (including 2 stereoscopic Brawl snapshots) added to the 3DS 3D Gallery. View them on your 3DS Internet Browser!
3) 1 new link added to the Links Section.
Well back to the grind for me...when I'm not video gaming, watching things, and other distractions.

I've made my first 3D Super Smash Bros. Brawl snapshot which is up in the 3DS 3D Gallery for viewing on the Nintendo 3DS's Internet Browser! I'll add the 2D version of this snapshot to my Brawl Gallery at some point later. I still have a lot of work to do with the Brawl Gallery and little time to do it. (-_-)
In other news, I've reorganized the Links Section. I've realized after many years that if I'm going to arrange things alphabetically, it'll help to actually do it right. (<.<) Anyways until next time, everyone.

There are 5 more 3D pictures added to my 3DS 3D Gallery for you to look at using your 3DS's Internet Browser! I love that Goomba I made even though I made it a little too fat. Oh well. Anyways I'm still working on putting together the next update to my Brawl Gallery. With the 3DS in my possession, I kinda want to experiment with trying to make stereoscopic 3D Brawl Snapshots.
I just need to find the time to do that. Until next time, everyone!

There are 10 new pictures added to the 3DS 3D Gallery. I like the 3DS's AR Games which has a Graffiti mode where you bring your made images to life. It's not a perfect mode though since you have to treat the mode like you're painting a picture instead of drawing it. So these new pictures aren't perfect, but hey I like them. Hopefully you will too!
